Current research
My research focuses on the interplay of movement, balance, and emotion. I study how emotional state (induced by images with emotional content) affects step-initiation. The project is supervised by dr. John Stins , prof. dr. Peter Beek , and prof. dr. Andreas Daffertshofer. The project is funded by an NWO Research Talent Grant, grant number 406-14-077.
Résumé
After completing my bachelor in Psychology and Health at Tilburg University, I started the Research Master Cognitive Neuropsychology at the Vrije Universiteit. I graduated with honors (cum laude) in July 2013. I then proceeded to assist John Stins in writing a grant proposal for the NWO Research Talent Grant, which was awarded in 2014.
