My current research focuses on implementing the Interactive Walkway as an assessment tool of walking and walking adaptability to determine risk of falling in various patient groups.
RÉSUMÉ
I received my Batchelor’s and Research Master’s degree (cum laude) in Human Movement Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. During my Research Internship I investigated application possibilities of the Microsoft Kinect in the field of Human Movement Sciences, such as the Interactive Walkway. In 2014, I continued working on the Interactive Walkway in my PhD project.
The Interactive Walkway: validation and clinical implementation of an assessment tool of walking and walking adaptability
My PhD project focuses on validating and implementing the Interactive Walkway as an assessment tool of walking and walking adaptability to determine risk of falling in various patient groups. My work is part of the Technology in Motion project, a collaboration with Leiden University Medical Center, which is funded by NWO Exact Sciences.
